The interview day is designed to help the admissions committee evaluate an applicant’s cognitive and non-cognitive qualities. Non-cognitive qualities include your motivation, maturity, integrity, sensitivity, interpersonal skills, warmth, intellectual curiosity, ability to withstand stress, ability to overcome adversity and basis for pursuing a medical career.
During your interview day, you will also be asked about your academic record, medical-related experiences and extracurricular and volunteer activities. You’ll also receive additional information about the curriculum’s content and delivery, research opportunities and Prisma Health-Upstate.
Interviewers welcome your questions and allot time for them. Interview days are held on Thursday each week from August through April.
