Aaron Toro, MHSA

 Aaron Toro, MHSA, serves as the Executive Director for Finance and Operations at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine Greenville.  He received a Bachelor’s degree in Sports Medicine from Eastern Michigan University and a Master’s degree in Health Services Administration from the University of Detroit-Mercy.

Prior to relocating to South Carolina, Aaron spent 9 years working at the Detroit Medical Center.  He began as an Athletic Trainer at the DMC Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan, earned a Senior Administrative Fellowship at DMC Sinai Grace Hospital upon completion of his Master’s program, and later became a Clinical Rehab Manager at DMC Children’s Hospital of Michigan.

After moving to South Carolina, Aaron worked for Prisma Health for 8 years.  He held leadership roles with progressively increasing responsibilities during his tenure there, with the majority of his time spent in the departments of Family Medicine and Anesthesia.  Aaron has brought his wealth of knowledge and leadership experience in healthcare operations and finance to the team at SOMG.  He is eager to do his part to further improve the health of South Carolina by bringing his talents into academia.

An avid sports enthusiast, Aaron enjoys rooting for his hometown Detroit sports teams.  He plays spring and fall softball in Greenville County, where he is the team’s pitcher.  When he’s not engaged in some sort of sports activity, he is a proud family man who can be found spending time with his wife and children.
