Bio
| Background: | Board Certified in both Foot and Ankle Surgery and Wound Care. Diplomate of both American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery and American Board of Wound Management. Active clinical faculty member at Greenville Memorial Hospital, Department of Vascular Surgery and USCOMG. Experience working/fostering relationships with vascular surgery, general surgery, and orthopedic surgery in multi-specialty practice and wound care center. Extensive clinical experience in advanced tissue techniques, including collagen, skin substitutes, and allografts, as well as advanced offloading modalities including total contact casting. Provides expert diagnostic and preventative patient education and treatment services, including foot, ankle, and related surgeries. Ensures patient care is delivered in compliance with best practice standards, clinical risk management guidelines, relevant legislative requirements, professional code of ethics/conduct, and available evidence. Avid runner, cyclist, and triathlete. |
| Teaching Interest(s): | Hard to heal wounds of the foot. Diabetic foot ulcerations and diabetic related foot disease. The use of skin substitutes and allografts for hard to heal wounds, including wounds with exposed muscle, tendon, and bone. Foot surgery. Limb preservation. |
