I came to Greenville from Texas in 2002 after matching into the Obstetrics and Gynecology program at GHS. After completing a fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, my husband and I returned to Greenville in 2009; I have worked at Greenville Health System since that time. It didn’t take long for me to realize that a great majority of the satisfaction of this career for me revolves around working with resident physicians. It seemed like a natural transition for me to begin serving as director of the residency program in 2014. The addition of a fellowship to our division will enhance and strengthen our academic commitment, which can only benefit the residency program.

Special interests in Maternal-Fetal Medicine include hypertensive disorders of pregnancy and systemic lupus erythematosus. Most recently my attention has focused on learning about and assisting pregnant women with opioid dependence.

When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my husband and 4-footed children, all of whom keep me grounded and focused. I have a passion for cooking and spending time outdoors.
