My interest in medicine began with exposure to the field by family members who were in healthcare. I obtained a BS in Biology from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA with a minor in Spanish in 2013, and a Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine from the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine in Spartanburg, SC in 2017. I completed my intern year in Internal Medicine at Geisinger Medical Center and residency in Psychiatry at the same institution. Since 2021 I have been practicing at Prisma Health and serving as a clinical assistant professor in the Greer Center for Psychiatry residency program. |
Teaching Interest(s): |
My teaching interests include outpatient psychiatry, the treatment of serious and persistent mental illness (SPMI), psychotherapy, consultation/liasion psychiatry, emergency psychiatry, and resident/medical student mentorship and personal development. |
Research Interest(s): |
Previous and future research interests include the medical effects of psychotropic medications and improvement in the delivery of patient care and resident education. |
