OUR APPROACH
How We Teach AI
AI at Moore is not taught in isolation. It is embedded throughout the business curriculum—reinforcing core concepts while introducing students to tools and workflows they will use in practice.
Strong grounding in business and analytics fundamentals before layering in AI tools.
Embedding AI into business processes, designing workflows, validating outputs, and developing the judgment to know where AI creates leverage and where it falls short.
Emphasis on judgment, data protection, and understanding AI's limitations before deploying it.
As AI handles more routine tasks, critical thinking, clear communication, and adaptability become the defining skills of effective business leaders. We develop these capabilities alongside technical AI proficiency.

COURSE SPOTLIGHT
MKTG 725: AI in Marketing
Dr. Ayse Ozturk is an award-winning Clinical Associate Professor of Marketing at the Darla Moore School of Business, where she teaches MKTG 725 for Professional MBA students. She is a Fellow in both the Provost's AI Teaching Fellowship and the Propel AI Scholars Program.
MKTG 725 is a hands-on graduate elective that transforms business professionals into AI-powered marketers. Students build agentic workflows, run AI-driven campaigns, and complete a consulting-grade AI Marketing Audit for a real company, with no coding experience required. The course covers generative AI, personalization, marketing automation, predictive analytics, AI ethics, and more across seven intensive sessions.
WHAT STUDENTS ARE SAYING
"The course fundamentally changed how I approach problem-solving, making it more structured, experimental, and forward-looking. We actively built and tested workflows, making concepts like agentic systems immediately tangible."
"The key insight was using AI to refine and elevate my work, sharpening my thinking while keeping the output fully my own. Professor Ozturk's frameworks helped me reframe a high-stakes presentation with a much stronger story arc."
"Building an agentic AI system that automated a previously slow and expensive process saved our organization $50K a year and freed up an employee to focus on higher-value work."
