Kati Russ is an South Carolina Honors College alumna, earning her bachelor's degree in English, with minors in women and gender studies and business administration, in 2020. During her time at the University of South Carolina, Kati was an Honors Ambassador, President of Women LEAD and worked as a research assistant at Darla Moore School of Business. She also studied abroad in Limerick, Ireland during the fall of her junior year.

Kati earned her master's degree in English and women, gender, and sexuality studies from Brandeis University in December 2022. Since obtaining her graduate degree, Kati has spent her time working with Bottom Line, a nonprofit focused on supporting first-generation, low-income college students. She is passionate about working with undergraduate students from a variety of backgrounds, with a focus on building relationships. In her free time, Kati loves to read, garden, crochet, go birding and take care of her two cats and seven chickens. She also loves to stay active –– lifting weights, yoga and hiking with her partner.
