Steven Lynn has served as dean of the South Carolina Honors College since 2011, having previously served as senior associate dean in the College of Arts and Sciences (2007-2011) and chair of the Department of English (2001-2007). His teaching and publishing interests include eighteenth-century literature (especially Samuel Johnson), rhetoric and composition (especially pedagogy), and science fiction (especially nanotechnology and ethics).
