As the External Relations Events Manager, Morgan is responsible for overseeing a robust calendar of 40 annual events, including prestigious dinners, alumni retreats, and community lecture series, while also managing special events and requests from 22 departments. 

Prior to her role at the University of South Carolina, Morgan served as the Development Manager for Special Events at AIA New York and the Center for Architecture. During her five-year tenure, she led revenue-driven events and successfully met or exceeded the annual events goal of $2.2 million. Prior to that she worked in Membership and Development at the Museum of Modern Art and the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York City.  

Morgan grew up in Irmo, SC, and graduated with her Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications and Journalism in 2010 from the University of South Carolina. She also currently sits on the Columbia Museum of Art Contemporaries Board.  

In her spare time, you can find her gallery hopping or hanging with her husband, Gerardo, and their pets, Louie, their Labradoodle puppy and cat, O’Malley.
