The University of South Carolina proudly recognizes the exceptional dedication and service of its staff through the 2025 USC Staff Excellence Awards. These annual honors celebrate individuals whose commitment, innovation, and leadership have made a lasting impact on the university community. Family, friends, colleagues, and university administration gathered to celebrate the achievements that help make USC a remarkable place to work and grow at the annual ceremony held on Monday, May 19, 2025, at the Campus Room at Capstone.

“The Staff Excellence Awards are an opportunity to recognize those individuals who have demonstrated outstanding performance, innovation, and commitment to our mission and values,” said Caroline Agardy, vice president for human resources. “Each of our recipients has made a significant impact, and their contributions have helped us achieve new heights.”

Chris Burkett, vice-president of the Staff Senate, served as master of ceremonies. Guests heard welcome remarks and words of wisdom from Agardy, Donna Arnett, executive vice president for academic affairs and provost, and Anna Edwards, chief of staff.

Award honorees spanned the campus from residential life to the College of Social Work. Within their nomination materials, they were touted for being transformational leaders, innovative thinkers, and dedicated team members. Each recipient received a one-time monetary prize and commemorative trophy. Following the ceremony, guests participated in a celebratory reception.
