Memberships

Our memberships align with the University Academic Calendar and can be purchased at any time. Each membership option below will have a link to take you directly to your desired membership type. Membership fees are prorated throughout the term.

Summer Memberships
May 11, 2026 - August 9, 2026

When to Purchase:
For all non-students: available for purchase starting April 27th
For all continuing students and May graduates: available for purchase starting on May 11th (have regular student access through May 10th)
*Campus Recreation is temporarily deferring payment for student summer memberships under a Deferred Payment Agreement. Students will be prompted to agree at the time of purchase and are granted immediate access to the facility, pending memberships will be approved within 2–3 business days, and applicable fees will be charged in early July.

Non-Students:
Faculty, Staff, Retirees, Affiliate, and Spouse Memberships: $80
NAC, ROTC, and Alumni Memberships: $90
Faculty/Staff 1 Month Option: $45

Students:
Student Membership: $80
Student 1 Month Membership: $45
*All summer memberships, excluding 1 Month options, are prorated.

Student Memberships (FA/SP)

If you are fee paying student enrolled in USC - Columbia during the current semester, you will have access to our facilities during all operational hours. You must have a physical CarolinaCard to access our facilities. 

If you do not have a CarolinaCard (or you have issues with your current card), please contact the CarolinaCard Office.

Early Bird Memberships

Early Bird Memberships offer a flexible and cost-effective option for members who prefer to use our facilities during specific hours. Here's what you get with an Early Bird Membership:

STWFC:
Mon. - Thu.: 6:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Fri. - Sun.: Full access during all operational hours.
University Holidays/Breaks/Summer: Full access during all operational hours.

Blatt PEC:
Full Access: Available during all operational hours.

Free Membership Trial

We offer a 14-Day free trial membership to all USC Columbia campus faculty, staff, and affiliates. This trial is only available if you have not been a member before. The trial membership provides access to the Blatt PE Center and the Strom Thurmond Wellness and Fitness Center during all operational hours.

Membership Policies and Conditions

1. Memberships to the STWFC are non-transferable, non-refundable and membership fees are subject to change.
2. Campus Recreation members MUST use their own physical CarolinaCard to access our facilities.

Guest Passes are available to purchase for $10 at the Wellness and Fitness Center Welcome Desk (credit/debit card only).
