The St. Baldrick's Foundation is a volunteer and donor powered charity committed to supporting the most promising research to find cures for childhood cancers and give survivors long and healthy lives.
The St. Baldrick’s Scholar (Career Development) Award is intended to develop the independent pediatric cancer research careers of highly qualified junior investigators. Research projects must have direct applicability and relevance to pediatric cancer—in any discipline of basic, clinical, translational, or epidemiologic research. The award is up to $110,000 year for 3 years, with a possible opportunity to apply for up to an additional 2 years at $115,000/year.

Current pediatric cancer funding priorities are divided into four categories:
• New discovery research
• Translational research and early phase clinical trials
• Phase III clinical trials & infrastructure support of participating institutions (not for this funding cycle/grants)
• Education of new pediatric oncology researchers
In addition to research to understand the biology of childhood cancers and discover leads to more effective treatments, topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
• Adolescents & young adults
• Survivorship, outcomes, and quality of life
• Supportive care
• Epidemiology and pediatric cancer predispositions
• Precision medicine
• Alternative & complementary therapies

Limited submissions MUST be coordinated with the Office of the Vice President for Research and the Office of Corporate & Foundation Relations.
