Attracting and retaining exceptional employees often depends on meeting the needs of dual career couples. When recruiting faculty and administrative staff to the University of South Carolina, it has become increasingly important to consider the needs of the partner. A partner’s employment opportunities can be a critical component of a candidate's decision to accept a job offer on the Columbia campus.
The Division of Human Resources has established a new service to aid academic and administrative units that need to identify career opportunities for an accompanying partner. This service offers a much needed benefit to our campus community while also providing local businesses direct access at no cost to a unique pool of highly trained and experienced individuals.
